The new Star START-HPC2 cleaver has a built-in rotating blade that automatically moves one step forward after each cleave. Star’s fiber optic cleaver is designed for excellent portability, which is a preferred tool for FTTx applications. The optic buffer tube cutter blade carries 16,000 single-fiber cleaves before requiring replacement, and the built-in scrap collector conveniently stores fiber shards until they can be safely discarded. Fiber cleaver accommodates 0.25mm to 0.9mm coating diameters and is designed to cleave the fiber barely to 16mm fiber length. It is available with a scale, allowing fiber cleave lengths from 5mm to 20mm. Star’s high precision fiber cleaver do mechanical controlled fiber break, resulting in perfectly flat endface, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the fiber, to obtain perfect slice depending on skill of the user.
